This is a 41 question personality quiz that takes no more than 5 minutes. It's definitely not scientific, but it's a fun diversion when you need a break. You can take the quiz here www.41q.com/ - and remember to post your results and discussion in the comments below!
Discussion:
(1) What were your quiz results?
(2) Do you think they were accurate?

My results (my comments in parentheses);
Your personality type:
(These are true.) Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration.
(These are completely UNtrue--except that I am hard working.) Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their mind to it.
Careers that could fit you include: Business executives, administrators and managers (I often get shoved into these kinds of roles against my will,) accountants, police (I worked in security for 14 years,) detectives, judges, lawyers, medical doctors, dentists, computer programmers, systems analysts, computer specialists (I'm a certified network admin,) auditors, electricians, math teachers (I was an A+ math student & am still interested in the subject,) mechanical engineers, steelworkers, technicians.-
WOAH! We got the same thing and you also made some similar notations to mine. The contracts I work under have NDC (non disclosure clauses) so I can't make the notations as you did re: careers and qualifications. Also did you note that we are both artists and yet our creativity and intuition are not reflected in this quiz?
I know I am creative, resourceful, intellectually quick and very resilient, but that didn't make the cut because I'm not "easy going".
Your personality type:
True Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration.
Not always true Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments.
True Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their mind to it.
Careers that could fit you include:
True Business executives, administrators and managers, police detectives, judges, lawyers, computer programmers, systems analysts, computer specialists.
Not true accountants, medical doctors, dentists, electricians, math teachers, mechanical engineers, steelworkers, technicians. -
TT; Of course any 5 minute personality quiz isn't going to get to the bottom of someone's true nature, but it was fun, anyway.
Besides, my creativity developed in early childhood, when I was a completely different person. Just because I became more logical doesn't mean I gave up the creativity (although at one point I did take a 10 year "break.") -
IMO the descriptions below are more accurate. I swing between INFJ and INTJ (both personality types are only 1% of the population).
INFJs focus on possibilities, think in terms of values and come easily to decisions. The small number of this type (1 percent) is regrettable, since INFJs have unusually strong drive to contribute to the welfare of others and genuinely enjoy helping their fellow men. This type has great depth of personality; they are themselves complicated, and can understand and deal with complex issues and people. www.geocities.com/lifexplore/infj.htm
INTJs are the most self-confident of all types, having "self-power" awareness. Found in about 1 percent of the general population, the INTJs live in an introspective reality, focusing on possibilities, using thinking in the form of empirical logic, and preferring that events and people serve some positive use. Decisions come naturally to INTJs' once a decision is made, INTJs are at rest. INTJs look to the future rather than the past, and a word which captures the essence of INTJs is builder-a builder of systems and the applier of theoretical models. www.geocities.com/lifexplore/intj.htm

It's quite a biased questionnaire but fun to do anyway..
e.g.
are you easy going or not? (easy going)
do you like logical people or emotional people? (logical people)
Therefore, your personality is one that is easy going and like logical people.
bah. humbug. Naturally if you do this honestly, it's probably more likely to fit one self's personality than not (imo)

OK it says I am Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their mind to it.

How did Steelworker get thrown in there?
12/18 Extroverted / Introverted
8/18 Sensitive / Intuitive
6/18 Thinking / Feeling
4/18 Judging / Perceiving
I think it was fairly accurate, it had me leaning pretty heavily towards an introverted person which I don't entirely believe to be true. I simply don't prefer large groups because there's too much action. I like to think about what I'm going to say before I say it, and in a large group or a busy thread often times some one's made my point for me so why beat the dead horse, and the test doesn't show the detail needed to get a truly accurate result, but hey. it's for fun right?
My only comment about the quiz would be that I do think it would be better with a little more detailed explanation of the term and what they mean.
Oh I just happened to take one of these earlier today and it said I'm supposed to be an artist.... Go figure -
Quietly forceful, original and sensitive. Tend to stick to things until they are done. Extremely intuitive about people and concerned for their feelings. Well-developed value systems which they strictly adhere to. Well-respected for their perserverence in doing the right thing. Likely to be individualistic, rather than leading or following.
Careers that could fit you include:
Counselors, clergy, missionaries, teachers, medical doctors, dentists, chiropractors, psychologists, psychiatrists, writers, musicians, artists, psychics, photographers, child care workers, education consultants, librarians, marketeers, scientists, social workers.
This does sound like me quite a bit! All these professions interest me too! Some I have done and am doing..
-
Your personality type:
Assertive and outspoken - they are driven to lead. Excellent ability to understand difficult organizational problems and create solid solutions. Intelligent and well-informed, they usually excel at public speaking. They value knowledge and competence and usually have little patience with inefficiency or disorganization.
Careers that could fit you include:
Business executives, CEOs, organization founders, business administrators, managers, entrepreneurs, judges, lawyers, computer consultants, university professors, politicians, credit investigators, labor relations workers, marketing department managers, mortgage bankers, systems analysts, scientists.
I am in awe. Very accurate, in very sense.
-
-
Your personality type:
Warm-hearted, popular and conscientious. Tend to put the needs of others over their own needs. Feel strong sense of responsibility and duty. Value traditions and security. Interested in serving others. Need positive reinforcement to feel good about themselves. Well-developed sense of space and function.
Careers that could fit you include:
Home economics, nursing, teaching, administrators, child care, family practice physician, clergy, office managers, counselors, social workers, bookkeeping, accounting, secretaries, organization leaders, dental assistants, homemakers, radiological technologists, receptionists, religious educators, speech pathologists.
they don't list IT at all! -
Here is mine:
Popular and sensitive, with outstanding people skills. Externally focused, with real concern for how others think and feel. Usually dislike being alone. They see everything from the human angle and dislike impersonal analysis. Very effective at managing people issues and leading group discussions. Interested in serving others and probably place the needs of others over their own needs.
Careers that could fit you include:
Teachers, consultants, psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, clergy, sales representatives, human resources, managers, events coordinators, politicians, diplomats, writers, actors, designers, homemakers, musicians, religious workers.
I think mine is pretty accurate -
1.) Your personality type:
Enthusiastic, idealistic and creative. Able to do almost anything that interests them. Great people skills. Need to live life in accordance with their inner values. Excited by new ideas, but bored with details. Open-minded and flexible, with a broad range of interests and abilities.
Very Extraverted
Very Intuitive
Very Perceiving
Halfway in-between Thinking and Feeling.
Careers: Actors, journalists, writers, musicians, painters, consultants, psychologists, psychiatrists, entrepreneurs, teachers, counselors, politicans, diplomats, television reporters, marketers, scientists, sales representatives, artists, clergy, public relations, social scientists, social workers.
Yeah pretty much. I could see myself as a lot of those, though I'd be more likely a mathematician then a scientist proper.
2.) Not so sure about the Idealistic part, but otherwise mostly. I am a very well-rounded, Renascence type man who does a lot of different kinds of things, loves being around people, trying new ideas, and finds self-worth from my principles. Details do tend to get on my nerves, but I know for any line of work they are important so I force myself past that, sometimes with Whiskey.
3.) Interestingly, this is the first personality test I've taken where only two options were given for each question. Even more interstingly, it is the most accurate one I've taken. Their may be wisdom in such di-lemma (math joke, for VK when he shows up.)-
Well actually ironically enough we both took fairly controversial, but meaningful, things as our avatars, so that was actually a hint. Then, a lot of the kind of stuff you'd do for discussion topics, the kind of stubbornness I have, the feisty steroetypically Celtic sanguine, sarcastic humor, I saw that all in you through your comments.
-
I liked the scales that comes under that.
Here is how mine looks:
Extroverted ....................|.........................................................Introverted
Sensing...............................................................................|.....Intuitive
Thinking...................................................................................|Feeling
Judging........................|............................................................Perceiving
Interesting, the feelings mark is all the way to the end.
Which I would say is right in my case.
I usually do go with feelings, which might not always be the best thing, but then again I trust my feelings most of the time and if it kicks me in the ass later, I think back of why I followed my heart at the time and always go back to saying. I don't and I won't regret, as it was right at the time for me.-
@TT: Me, all the time. I swing between ENTP, ENFP. The one error of this scale is there are people who have very romantic, spirited, values-oriented views of the world and those people aren't truly ENTJ or ENFJ but rather a complex combination of both where thinking becomes feeling and feeling becomes thinking.
-
Well....I found both of your comments really interesting so I took the test again b/c I wanted to see the scales again and I really took the time to answer each Q again, and...
Extroverted ......|........................................................................Introverted
Sensing...................................................................................|..Intuitive
Thinking...................................................................................|Feeling
Judging............|…….............................................................Perceiving
So Jeremy, you would be right in my case.
I mean......with me, my thinking is my feelings. -
I sure did learn something.
Found out "only 5 percent" of the general population, are ENFJ's like myself.
NOw that explains it! lol

Your personality type:
Practical, traditional and organized. Likely to be athletic. Not interested in theory or abstraction unless they see the practical application. Have clear visions of the way things should be. Loyal and hard-working. Like to be in charge. Exceptionally capable in organizing and running activities. 'Good citizens' who value security and peaceful living.
Careers that could fit you include:
Military, business administrators, managers, police/detective work, judges, financial officers, teachers, sales representatives, government workers, insurance agents, underwriters, nursing administrators, trade and technical teachers.
Interesting and amusing to the concept that I could have ended up in a Military -
Your personality type:
Logical, original, creative thinkers. Can become very excited about theories and ideas. Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings. Highly value knowledge, competence and logic. Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others. Highly analytical, they can discover connections between two seemingly unrelated things and work best when allowed to use their imagination and critical thinking.
Careers that could fit you include:
Physicists, chemists, biologists, photographers, strategic planners, mathematicians, university professors, computer programmers, computer animators, technical writers, engineers, lawyers, forensic researchers, writers, artists, psychologists, social scientists, systems analysts, researchers, surveyors.
My comments: Accurate, although I'm normally quiet and reserved around strangers, but more of an extrovert around people I trust. And I don't think my writing is quiet or reserved at all!
My graph results are pretty much down the middle of each spectrum, which shows a healthy balance. Problem is, I don't always FEEL like a balanced person. -
Creative, resourceful and intellectually quick. Good at a broad range of things. Enjoy debating issues and may be into 'one-up-manship'. They get very excited about new ideas and projects, but may neglect the more routine aspects of life. Generally outspoken and assertive. They enjoy people and are stimulating company. Excellent ability to understand concepts and apply logic to find solutions.

Pretty good, it is funny that I am now scoring higher on being Extrovert level, I always use to score higher on the 'introvert'. That has changed since doing my counselling training.-
Interestingly enough we have experienced the opposite swings. Prior to to counseling I tested as an extrovert. Now I test as an introvert. I think as a younger person I used to try too hard to be outgoing in order to be accepted, but once I came to know myself better I didn't have the same drive to be a "people" person.

Meh, it's somewhat close, I guess. But I think I'm usually more creative and intuitive than this makes me out to be. -
Here it is www.41q.com/type.41q?p=14578375
But I don't agree with all...
But some are right!

I redone the test, but this time in my language
"they usually excel at public speaking"- sometimes I'm a little afraid, but when I start to talk no one shuts me down! LOL-
Thanks for taking part Anthony. I'm smiling about your statement with regard to public speaking. I'm an introvert who used to be an extrovert. I have had careers that included leadership roles, teaching and public speaking, and I surprised myself by discovering how well I did in these roles. These days I'd rather be in the background than in the forefront and my testing reflects that change.

Have to say, that it's pretty accurate on a few elements! And I'm leaning towards a career path with writing and illustrating ^_^.
My graph's results: It was in the middle of extrovert/introvert. It leaned more towards intuitive and perceiving & feeling.-
Yeah it was pretty accurate. For example, I can be quiet and reflective sometimes. I'm also relaxed and laid-back, unless a strongly-held value is threatened. But usually I don't bother to get mad. I hope I'm a talented writer haha.
Mentally quick and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people. -- This is quite true, only making the actual decision...that is another story haha.
It's funny, I love to write/illustrate and I study Sociology. -
Would you consider getting a new theme and having a header that featured your drawings? I think that would be a cool thing to do that would really showcase your drawings and make your theme more unique. If so, then why not approach ChicaX? She did Claire's theme and header.

I would mostly agree with it overall. Some of the questions were hard in terms of one answer truly standing out from the other, felt like some other options were needed. But just being greedy haha.
Anyhoo, the interest in serving humanity, understanding others and helping them is definitely accurate. Two of my previous websites, both had that goal in mind. My main current one still does, in the sense that it came from my desire to understand people and their choices better, and why they do the things they do all the time (or keep falling into same cliche categories, aka women and their wedding/baby fever, etc).
Mentally quick and see possibilities? Yes. My other half tells me it's a blessing and a curse. When a fork is on the road, I am quick to identify all the negatives of each option as well as the perks.
I could go on and on but morning laziness within fingers. -
On a standard Myers Briggs, which usually takes signifiantly longer, I am an INTJ, this turned out slightly different for the qucikie 5 minute run.

Assertive and outspoken - they are driven to lead. Excellent ability to understand difficult organizational problems and create solid solutions.
