50% of blogs about making money for blogs?

When I look around the blog world, why does it seem like half of the blogs out there are about making money off blogging?

And 90% of those don't make any... especially ones hosted on blogspot... that kills me. I swear, I don't get people.-
Well, sometimes it's hard to tell which ones are lying and which are telling the truth.

I've wondered about this, too.
Basically, I think it's people whose only interest in blogging is to make money from it.
So, since most people blog about what they're interested in, these folks do the same. -
oh.. A sharing path turned to a profit creator. -
You know what is even more strange? None of the 3am commercials that show you how to get rich ever mention blogging.
The funny thing is that blogging is the only business that works out of any I ever saw. It requires no money investment either.

Its true that while blogging doesnt cost money (if you use a free host) it costs you time. and time is money.

Ya'll are pessimistic. there are people who make good money from it because they are good a what they do (providing knowledge on a certain topic) and smart (because the know the business side). You have to be hard working, committed, and dedicated to anything you do in order to make money from it whether its blogging or some other offline job.-
but you can blog without money grubbing, and there are probably better and more creative ways of getting income

I notice that the top make money bloggers, who are actually making an income from blogging as opposed to a pittance are not blogging on free hosted accounts blogspot blogs. Bluntly stated blogs on free hosted subdomains lack the credibility that blogs on domains have.
The professional bloggers who are making a significant income are using self hosted wordpress.org software on their own domains. Like any other business people they know they must spend money to make money, and when it comes to purchasing a domain and web hosting the two are NOT expensive.
We’ve all heard the hype about making millions with our blogs but the fact remains that very few bloggers have the degree of expertise required to produce content that brings in the massive number of hits on advertisements that are required to make a living from blogging.
The make money blogging niche is the largest niche of all. The competition for readers is fierce and most traffic flows to the A and B list make money bloggers. Other bloggers within the niche tend to re-blog the content produced by the front runners, rather than creating unique content, and that has a negative effect on the niche as a whole, as readers become savvy to this.
The truth is that there are no shortcuts to making money from blogging. You need to have an knowledge base and skill sets that make it possible for you to consistently “deliver the goods” to your readers.

Yea, and most disappear pretty fast thank goodness. -
I use a dial-up modem so I don't have the advantages of a fast connection. I have all my blogs on blogger.
My hits have tripled since last January. I simply write about what I know.
It keeps growing because more people link to your blogs.
It works, and people are quietly making a lot of money doing it. This is like bank CDs. Most never heard of a bank CD but they pay up to 5X what a savings account does. People still won't put their money in them.
It is as almost if the real good ways to get more money are never talked about. -

As you can make money from freewebs or any other free web hosting service but let's face it, a site about making money that is hosted on a FREE web hosting service doesn't have much credibility right?-
