6 August,1945 Hiroshima. How can it be prevented in future?

Hiroshima and Nagashaki Bombed. End of WW2
But left behind sorrows...
Was it unevitable
how could it be prevented in future

    The fact is, Japan was not going to give up so easily. The other options at the time were using napalm on Tokyo or invading Japan itself.

    Both options would have results in more Japanese and American deaths.

    I think at that point it was not about revenge but ending the war quickly.

    But on a personal note, I wouldn't change history at all. I would allow the events to unfold without interfering.
