A Different Type of Shameless Blog Promotion

There are times we all write a post in which we’re particularly proud of and want to draw some traffic/attention to. I’d like to do something a little different though. Instead of promoting one’s own blog, promote someone elses blog and tell why you are.
Did it make you think?
Did it make you smile?
Did it just make sense?
Did it teach you something?
Did it just simply draw you in because of the author’s ability to tell you the story?
You get the picture (hopefully).
The first one I’d like to promote is Ender’s post on sowing discord. It made me think about the interaction of bloggers in discussion threads where you can find threads with various opinions stated without any rancor vs. those which degrade into abusive comments by people.

The second I’d like to report is Bobbies tale of diving off a ship wreck. The link is to the 1st installment (of five) but it’s a fascinating tale. It’s one of the best stories I’ve ever read on a blog. She has a unique way of drawing a reader in and I couldn’t wait for each part of the story to unfold.

These are just a couple I’d like to draw some attention to. How about you?

Looks like I've got some blog reading to catch up on.
Now how about the "No Asshole Rule" over at "Blogging Them Out of the Stone Age"?

It's about how a really talented individual can still detract from the overall effectiveness of an organization. -

I read this today and thought it was amazing. It's a micro horror story.

This is just such an amazing blog on so many levels, and in this post he uses his daughter to prove a pretty neat concept, which is that the world record holder in the 100m dash would have a very tough time beating his 1 year old in a race!
