I love award's season because I can totally pick on how people dress even though I can barely dress myself. Here is my review of the best and worst dressed from the Grammy Awards last night:

Speaking of the Grammy Awards did anyone watch? I have to say the Radiohead performance from last night was amazing.

If you didn't see it you can watch it here:

Hhahahahaha Oi. What in the world are they thinking?

Although In Paula Abdul's defense, she always looks messed up because of the nerve damage caused in a car crash. (Or accident, whatever happened to her)
    1. pointlessbanter
And the bottle of vodka she just drank.
    2. Anok
      Nah that's just a rumor

Poor girl, she's been through a lot. But the comment about her mirrors was funny
    3. pointlessbanter
I can't believe you are actually defending Paula Abdul.
    4. Anok
*shrug* I made fun of her for a while, until I realized that it was nerve damage. Then I felt like an asshole.
    5. pointlessbanter
Never feel like an asshole.... that is no fun.
    6. Anok
I know! That's why I stopped. I felt like I was picking on a kid with autism or something.
    7. pointlessbanter
Except she has millions of dollars and routinely makes an ass out of herself.
    8. Anok
      Well...yeah...

Cold play look like they are the gay liberation army out to liberate Gayistan from Heterovania's evil domination either that or they have escaped from the Gap's high security mental health facility and haven't had time to remove the strait jackets properly.
    1. Anok
      LMAO
    2. pointlessbanter
The whole uniform thing bugs the crap out of me.
    3. aningeniousname
I just hate cold play full stop. They are whiney watered down indie pop bitches with a Bono Jesus complex and the musical talent of a syphilitic deaf monkey.
    4. Anok
      So you like them, then?
    5. aningeniousname
Yeah whenever I want bland there's only one band that can really fill my bland hole (I don't mean my dirty hole)

    7. pointlessbanter
Your dirty hole tastes bland according to Claire.
    8. aningeniousname
That's because she made me wash it, with that squirty red soap you get in the bathrooms of motorway service stations, before she would taste it.
      She is very picky.
    9. melindaville
      LMFAO! Ha ha ha ha.

      Twunts.
    11. pointlessbanter
      Oh no... they were funny.
    12. crpitt
I meant my comment, I nearly went a bad place, worse than anin's arse.
    13. pointlessbanter
no place could be worse than that.
    14. crpitt
      Yours?
    15. aningeniousname
There's nothing wrong with my arse! It's lovely and clean thanks to you Miss Pitt!
When people ask me how I keep it so clean I tell them I have a woman comes in once a week to give it a once over, I'll give them your card.
    16. pointlessbanter
Lovely isn't the word I would use for it.
    17. crpitt
      When did you see it?
    18. pointlessbanter
You showed me the video of it.
    19. aningeniousname
Stop giving my arse bad reviews! A negative buzz could kill my arse especially as we are now so close to the Oscars.
    20. crpitt
Stop using and abusing me to bump this post! tossers!
    21. aningeniousname
It's my arse that is being used and abused!
P.S I am only 18 points behind you now, not crowing as much now are we.
    22. crpitt
A couple of good weeks and you get cocky, we shall see.
  3. DangerMouse
LMAO! Your comment on Coldplay and Jennifer Hudson was hilarious! "Look ribs!" Hahahahaha!
    1. pointlessbanter
Thanks for approving of the "Look Ribs" comment.
    2. DangerMouse
No approval! It just made me literally lol in a room full of people!
    3. pointlessbanter
I had another picture picked out and then I saw that.... Which I had to jump on.

I watched it and loved the radiohead performance as well. I thought some performances were downright sloppy, though--you can tell some of these 'bands' are helped quite a bit by technical wizardry in the mixing room. They didn't sound nearly so tight last night.
    1. pointlessbanter
Auto tuners are all the rage.
    2. legbamel
I quit watching award shows and Saturday Night Live/talk show performances years ago. So many bands that sound fantastic on studio albums can't play a song (in one take) that they've been performing together for three years, much less new material. I reserve live performance time for blues festivals and orchestral music.
    3. pointlessbanter
That is why I TIVO everything. There are some bands that are worth watching and there are some bands that you can watch for 30 seconds and just know you need to skip through them.
    4. melindaville
I tend to agree with you legbamel. I am a musician and appreciate people who can actually play their instruments without a bunch of tinkering in a studio. If a band cannot play a decent live show, imo, they have no business recording--but that's just me.

I'm a big fan of festivals myself.

For fashion, I loved the Sgt. Pepper look-alike outfits that band wore. Was it Coldplay? Paul McCartney was sitting directly accross from them.

One of the best years I have ever seen. Lots of performances they showed. Paul McCartney had the crowd going. I was dying to hear him play some of the Beatles songs, like "Getting Better" from Sgt. Pepper. Fourty-two years later and the album still can not be matched. Unreal.
    1. pointlessbanter
      Yeah Goldplay wears the uniforms.
    2. melindaville
I saw Sir Paul on his world tour a few years back. He gave one of the best performances I have ever seen--he played for a long time and he sounded fantastic. It was amazing.
  6. mikeny07
    Yeah, he is ageless.

I miss John Lennon. I wish I was alive during the 1960s to see them perform together.
    1. melindaville
I wasn't quite born when they first got together but I had an older sister who was crazy about them and so I was introduced to them at a very young age. In fact, that's the first music I really remember hearing as a child.

I will never forget that day when Lennnon was murdered. I don't think any famous person's death has hit me so hard. I was so stunned--I just sat in my room crying all day, weeping and playing old Beatle albums. What a tragic loss.
  7. DocNicole
Why is everyone so hard on Paula? Poor Paula....
  8. DocNicole
    Hilarious post though btw...
  9. gosmelltheflowers
Great post and didn't realise how twitchy Radiohead looked...

Coldplay are heading to play here in Abu Dhabi by the way - any ideas on their costumes for that gig??
  10. Theresa111
Apology here, too. Bobby, all this time I mistakenly thought your name was Kevin. I am so sorry for my error. Good post today!
    1. pointlessbanter
I write under the pen name Bobby Finstock.
  11. curlydesigh
