   I would have just left school then and joined the army. I was a lot lot fitter and running for england at the time.

   Happy Birthday to you Lucy - I used to play soccer too but gave it up at 35. An injury which used to take a week to clear up was taking months - a reminder that the body was getting old...and then of course there's the eyesight disappearing.
   
   Judging by your avatar though - You're wearing 40 very well indeed.
