   Today I stood in the room glancing at the reflection cast
   I pondered a moment upon the distant past
   I looked into my own intimate stare
   And was shocked by what I saw there
   A woman stood standing proud and tall
   Nothing ruined her beauty at all
   And so I moved into my room
   prepared to wallow in self doom
   Instead I found a new will to strive
   and developed plans on how to thrive
   As I glanced at the ceiling above
   I couldn't help but feel tremendous love
   For at once I could plainly see
   The reasons that he truly loves me
   They aren't because I can cook
   Or read from some technical book
   It isn't because I'm pretty or fair
   Or that my perfume sweetens the air
   It's because underneath it all
   When problems arise - I answer the call
   So looking from his eyes, I finally see
   That he loves me - because I LOVE ME
