Is it against Adsense policies to have rapishare links?
I mean, you do not host illegal copies and you just link it to their site.

If your answer is yes then why does google search box allows rapidshare links and pages with rapidshare links.

Any advice? Can an account be terminated?

there was a bloke who used to link to illegal products and got arrested so you decide, adsense or being arrested.

When you say illegal products you are saying rapidshare links? If they went to jail then shouldn't google be punished since if you put free rapidshare books in their google search tons of free "illegal" copies are displayed? Makes no sense.

Umm, their bots huh, still, then why does rapidshare still go on then. There are even rapidsearch dot coms where adsense is displayed. When you say he, is this someone in the news or a friend? Any proof or news link?

Interesting link, thanks. But I wonder if he hosted those illegal movies. I know it says links but why not get the host who has the archives of illegal material. I think he hosted them because then it wouldn't make sense. And why is Rapidshare still online then? That is unfair for this guy.

it says in the article he didnthost them he just linked to them

Rapidshare do delete illegal content every now and then and perhaps thats how they get around it by saying they are activly deleting illegal content

A good rule of thumb is not to look at what people get away with. Yes a lot of people promote illegal downloads and have Adsense, but this doesn't make it OK, and when Google do a manual audit as they frequently do those sites will get banned from Adsense, and probably lose the commisisons that are waiting to be paid.

Great tip carl. I think you nailed it with that comment. Does google really do a manual audit or do you suppose they do that.
