A hunter left his camp and walked 1 mile to the south. Then he walked 1 mile to the east. There he shot a bear, and walked 1 mile north back to his camp.

What color was the bear?

White. Can't picture your directions working anywhere else but the North Pole.

      Damn, too easy this time?

Probably so, if I got it.

In all fairness, I tried it out on my wife, who is really good at these kinds of things, and she didn't get it. I think I got it this time because it involved spatial reasoning.

I think I know why your wife didn't get it, and it's not about spatial reasoning.

      Ask her this:
A woman left her house and walked 1 mile to the south. Then she walked 1 mile to the east. There she saw a shopping mall, entered it, bought a fabulous shoes on sale, and walked 1 mile north back home. What kind of shoes were they?

Really cheap flippers - since one mile south, and one mile east of me lands you in the river

    Okay.. here's another one....

You're driving a bus down Main Street..
    - there are no people on the bus
    - at the 1st stop 6 people get on the bus
    - at the 2nd stop 2 people get on the bus and 3 get off the buss
    - at the 3rd stop 0 people get off the bus and 4 people get on the bus
    - at the 4th stop, only a woman and child get on the bus
    - at the 5th stop, 2 people get off the bus, and 1 person gets on the bus.

what's the name of the bus driver?

I'm sorry, new Homeland Security regulations do not allow us to provide you with that information.

    Darn it!!!!

    I knew this one.

Mark should be disqualified from the next question since he is a teacher.

History, not riddles. I am terrible with riddles---almost always.

Me too, but I love trying to solve them.

I am better at history, but I bet you would beat me at trivia any day.

Not necessarily. I've got a memory like a sieve for some things, and then I surprise myself with others. No rhyme or reason to any of it near as I can tell.

      Ugh.

Same here, and what I do remember is usually useless tidbits. Sometimes that's exactly what comes up during a game of trivia though, so I come off looking all smart n' stuff haha.
