Im always absent minded. Most of the time at least.

I misplace things.I dont pay attention when people talk to me.I forget to do things.Im always in my own bubble.I actually tried to get better at being more focused..and I did get better, but i still have slong way to go.

Any other absent minded people here?

I sure am tired of staring at the kitchen wall for over 10 minutes forgetting what the heck it was I went in there for in the 1st place.

Let me see how absent minded you really are. What color is your kitchen wall.If you can tell...then you still can be a little more absent minded.

I heard somewhere: People that are smarter have selective hearing because the brain is quicker to disconcern itself with information that isn't pertinent... but don't tell your wife that!

I heard that people who are absent minded think about sex more often.

      I think you are confused.

How would you go about testing that?

I remember a day in art school when we were working on drawing a female skeleton. The instructor opened up the cranium to see if he wanted the class to include inner-cranial features. A girl popped a comment, "Now you know what's inside a girl's head."

I said, "Yea. Dead air and a bolt."

I read once that Einstein was so "absent minded," he would sometimes forget to put on his pants when he left the house.

That's like the story of Archimedes who was said to have been so excited at figuring out the idea of specific gravity and in a hurry to tell the King of Syracuse that he forgot to dress after leaving the bath.

My problem is that I have such an intense focus that I sometimes tune everything else out. I'm pretty good at expanding the focus when I need to though; for example: If I'm at a poker table and someone increases the pace of their breathing or adjusts their posture, I'm on it.

      DeadRooster....Excellent....you have talent yet

I used to be super absent-minded about misplacing things, but since I've divorced, I have only myself to depend on, and I don't lose things, lock myself out of my house/car, etc. like I used to.

This is what I call "unintentional growth".
