Adding Scrolling Awards to Sidebar

I've been doing various searches online and haven't found an easy explanation for how to do this.

Basically, I'd like to have a scrolling image widget on my sidebar which includes the award images, each with a link to the person's site who gave it to me.

I can almost figure out the scrolling image part but the link has me stumped.

    If you have the scrolling image figured out, you've got the whole thing figured out.

    Instead of scrolling the image scroll a div with a background:transparent; style property.

    Fill it with the content you want to appear to be scrolling, like a linked image.
