Topics: adsense
There are a lot of times that AdSense shows ads that entirely far from the topic of the post or to what you blog really is about. I'm sure you've experienced that.
Now, i think it just messes up everything. Do you think this creates value to your blog? Does Adsense really help your readers stick to your blog? Do you earn considerable amount of money throug Adsense?
Speak out and be heard!

The general rule is to have more content than ads(sense). Build the site for your readers first and people won't a mind (a couple) of ads that are relevant to the topic.
Adsense tends to go off topic when an advertiser runs an ad for an irrelevant topic and will usually remove it within a couple of days. Otherwise it will get no clicks and be shifted out of the rotation (or is supposed to be). Hope this helps.
Take care.-
Well i have been using adsense for a few years. I have tried so many different ways to optimize it.. I believe I found the best way at least it seems to be working for me..
When you create your ads, make sure to create a channel, then go to channels and edit settings, set it to get targeted and change the description based on your keywords... That helped me a lot..

AdSense doesn't pay until the $100 threshold has been reached. I haven't reached it yet. I don't check often because it takes forever to move much. The last time I did check it, it was between $50 and $60. At that rate, they might send a check in a couple of years. I put AdSense on the site before I knew much about dynamic blogging. I had been strictly static HTML. AdSense slows loading, which isn't good; however, the $50-60 belongs to the Church and Christian Commons Project. Should I walk away from it? I've considered it. Google's the richer in mammon for it if I do. In the long run, they make a mistake with their $100 threshold.

I dont mind it much on other peoples pages unless its those flashbased ads! I have 3 ads on a page in a sidebar and they go generally unnoticed and i have gotten some chump change from them. I dont think they detract from page really, although one time i blogged about a toilet and i had my ads related to toilets for a week! lol
