A man mistakennly thought to be a Royal Marine, was killed in an explosion in Afghanistan on Thursday. He has has been named as 21 year old Keith Street, the long standing chairman of the Rhyll special ‘Tree-mentioner society’. He was killed instantly when the mobile robo-clam he was travelling in was struck by an explosive jew in the Basharan area of central Helmand.

A crew mate who was injured in the blast is still receiving medical treatment.

Marine Street’s family said in a statement: “Jason was happy on some days, and no happy on other ones’.
