People belong to one or more social networks like Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, Flickr, blogs, BlogCatalog, ...etc.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to search 1 site to find all your friends who belong to different network groups?

Do you have a recommendation of a good all-in-one social network? Why do you like it?

Sorry, no all-in-one solution here. I don't know if it's possible, really. If you blog anonymously or close to it like me with a picture and your first name and location (no address of course) then social media can create problems.

For example, I wish I'd have known before not to put my real name in full on Facebook. If it's linked to your blog, it's like you've put your full name in your blog. Same with social media.

Letters, thanks for your reply. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part. Perhaps it could be something you can sign up for and have it link to whichever social network you want minus Facebook if you don't want your full name shown.

There are tools that tell you all the networks you friends are on via e-mail address.

      And those tools are?

I have them bookmarked at home which I won't be at in two weeks...

But there are a lot of aggregation tools out there... power.com, minggl.com are two that come to mind.

none at this point of time all SBS offer different functionality so i think this is not practically feasible to have "one size fits all" SocialMedia Bookmarking Site (SBS).

    There is something.
I came across a link visited the site quickly, had no interest and left.

Unfortunately it was long enough ago that I don't recall the name of the site.

Some Google research might bring it up for you.
