Although I personally feel as if bussinesses take advantage of the “Recession”, it gives them a reason to cut jobs, however the balance sheet probably shows a different picture. These figures are actually worldwide and now in 2009 the UK government predicts the it will start to get better in the start of 2010. Jesus that’s a long time! Here’s the list . . .

Bank of America - 35,000 layoffs (over 3 years - to 2011)
HP Electronic Data Systems - 24,500 layoffs (over 3 years - to 2011)
