Now that Doris Lessing has won the Nobel Prize for Literature, I feel bad for never sticking with any of her books. The list of writers I've always meant to read but never did is embarrassingly long ~ Pynchon, Nabakov, Tolstoy. How about you?

Kierkegaard and Josephus are two I always want to read everything from but haven't.

Wow. That's heavy. Good luck with them.

Hate to admit it, but I started Candide by Voltaire about a half dozen times. Everytime, something else came up to take my attention away.

I'm familiar with the musical, how imposing is the text?

I do think that blogging has drawn many of us away from books.

I feel the same. I'm hoping the pendulumm will swing back and I'll regain some equilibrium. I do miss books.

You might be right but it's tough for me to imagine someone writing a masterwork in a blog. Then again, Charles Dickens wrote David Copperfield as a newspaper serial. Not too different.
