Am I the only black guy in here? lol

I've been posting for awhile and I have yet to see any other black people..just wondering if there is anymore lol

Don't say black, it offends your people. Say African American.
I'm white by the way, but I saw some blacks around here earlier.

  African American implies dual citizenship in an African country and in the US. Since many black people did not come from Africa (nor did their recent ancestors) and many black people are not American, that whole compound noun is rendered worthless.

No seriously, I'm trying not to have this mindset in regards colours and races because it can be divisive and cause conflict. We're all the same at the end of the day - human beings...but I know my roots.

  You are quite right Selvia, but there is no getting away from the fact that we are divided into certain groups as soon as we are born.
  
  The same can be said for every man-made psychological divisions, for example the different religions...what does it matter if you're a Christian or Muslim - destroy the illusion and you will see we are the same species.
  
  As for being "black", it's not just about the actual colour, it's a culture thing and knowing ones roots, which is not a bad thing.

I would like to follow up on the question “Why does it matter?” The truth is it doesn’t matter because with all of the avatars being used no one can be one hundred percent what ones color is.

Sure, on the internet I assume one is telling the truth unless otherwise proven differently; still, it is a factor.

Thanks Fred. People have the tendency to be so rude and take light questions so personal. Also, by me saying "black" I was not trying to offend my own race. That would just be ridiculous. Ok this discussion needs no further analysis. Thanks
