America: The Land of A Broken Political System?

I have heard many times that America has a broken political system. In some ways I agree, and in others I do not. I wrote a blog about the part I agree with. Here it is:

I'll read your thoughts when I have a chance. My thoughts are that most of the problem revolves around the giving of money to candidates, and the expectations that acompany such. The remaining problem is a woefully ignorant voting public

Well ur 1/2 right... I think money should be taken out of the equation.
#2) the public isn't ignorant it's the politicians that are ignorant,but they have the $$$ for their voice to be heard over the publics-
I think that the recent events surrounding the health care debate show that the American public are ignorant about many things. Even if we take that out of the equation, there are plenty of other examples such as the rejection of the concept of evolution, the fact that most Americans cannot read above a high school level. Yes the American public are ignorant. Money is also an issue, however I feel that it is the lesser of two evils.
