Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Since the fire 3 1/2 weeks ago more damage was discovered which has delayed the move back home. I'd be lying if I said it hasn't been frustrating but things could be far worse. No injuries, good insurance coverage, and a lot of family in the area are always a plus.

Emily is finally getting tired of hotel life herself and it was a relief to send her home for the week too. We've had our share of silly arguments and being confined to a hotel room as long as we've been has been tiring for the both of us. I guess the allure of the pool has lost its luster for the kiddies.

Hopefully within the next week or so the house will be repaired/ready for us to get back into. I'm more then ready myself.

Take care all and I miss this place.

you need to tell your insurance company that high speed internet and a laptop are required for you.

  lol... I've come very close to breaking down and buying a laptop...but I've been spending money like crazy the last few weeks as it is. The local buffet joint is calling me by name as often as I've eaten there lately.

I do hope there is some under lying good to come from it.

A few years from now you and the kids can look back at how silly the arguments were during this time. Think of it as a lesson for everyone on how to pick and choose your battles.

Hopefully things will get back to normal for you soon. And as frustrating as it may seem now, you will have a new closeness with your kids you didn't have before. They know Dad kept them safe, supported them, and led the family through a tough time. They won't forget that.
