      "On the waterfront" is one of my favourite films. Brando at the height of his powers is hard to beat and if that isn't enough you also have Rod Steiger and Karl Malden!

    I can only mention some of my favourites, which include The Wicker Man (the original), The Craft, Picnic at Hanging Rock and The English Patient. I really enjoyed Bright Star, now showing, a love story centering on the last few years of John Keats, the poet.

    Bar none, the best movie ever is "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." My closest runner-up would have to be the original of "The Vanishing" (not the knockoff tripe that was re-made here).
