Discussions

I browse through the discussion thread I found many thread on how to submit to Search engine.
Most of the replies are... Add URL to google, Yahoo etc, or it is automatically submitted.

But what are the results? I recommend manual submittion to search engine. And before that we need to optimize our blog for the best results.
I have written a few tips from what I have learn.

Everybody said not to submit my new blog to the search engines. They all said that it would be better, faster, more pro to have the blog linked to other blogs and google would find it that way.

I disregarded that advice and submitted my new blog to all the search engines. Happy to say it got indexed real fast (2 weeks max) and I am getting about 90% of my traffic from search engines. Proabably about 80% from Google.

So, I think everybody screams don't submit your blog to search engines just because that is what everybody else is saying. It didn't cause me any problems at all.

I said, I recommend manual submittion to Search Engine, but better help the Search engine by optimizing our blog first to get better result.

Like....Submitting to Google without a sitemap does not give the best results.

You are right. I did sumit a sitemap. And optimizing is necessary. Actually to be more precise...optimizing is ongoing.

Just submit your site/blog to some social bookmarking sites and it's done.

@PotatoChef :If you think 2 weeks is quite fast what do you say about indexing it in a couple of hours. Just doing what i wrote on top.

I did one of those SEO analyzer checks for my site and it said I wasn't listed in the Yahoo directory. It provided a link to add my site but it said it cost $299 to submit my site to Yahoo. Is that correct?
