Any Fans of Artist HR Giger?

I just finished writing a post about him at busylizzyseasle.blogspot.com/2009/04/hr-giger-life-and-works.html#links.
I first became acquainted with his style in the movie ALIEN. My hubby remembers his artwork was featured quite often in OMNI Magazine.
Anyone out there have any of his books or posters? Been to the Giger Museum or one of the Giger Bars?

Members of the band ELP were warned about his personality before meeting him regarding doing an album cover for them. They got on fine, though.

My very most favorite artist! I have a friend who is into graphic design and I have given him some high res Giger pics that I downloaded, and he made me some giant 'subway' posters. I did the same for some of the Hubble Space Telescope pictures.-

Great and twisted artist. -
It seems to me that he took his inspiratio from a number of churches including one in the Czech Republic that is decorated with human bones all over the interior. It's also reminiscent of places like Saint Catherine's whose monks end up in a 1-room ostiary. One monk who led a tour said, "I would like to be here some day." -
im a fan!!One more things he created are something got to do with interior stage of a metal band..i have it the magazine but misplace it somewhere.-
I would love any info you can give me on this. I'll research it more and add to the post.

one more thing..Giger had created a custom mic stand for a metal band Korn...hope this useful!!

I first saw his work in a magazine that used to be out, and that I miss, called OMNI Magazine.
They actually showed his work a lot, even before he was in Alien. I cannot say I LOVE it, but it is intriguing. Certainly a different style of work. -

Yup he's still around but I like to picture him in my mind as dead as those Aliens that Ripley killed, I still liked the 1st Alien the best.

Beyond creepy. His alien is relatively tame compared to his other work. A little too much for me.-
