   There's no right way or wrong way to drive traffic, you just have to be clever about doing it. Most of the popular blogs didn't get traffic because of simply 'good content' - they did something funny, out of the box and sometimes...remarkable. Keep trying new things and experimenting - it's the best way to get results.
   
   You could also try guest posting on popular blogs, commenting actively on the same blog for an extended period of time, participating actively in forums, adding lots of friends on BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog - developing your other social networks etc...

    Stumbleupon is sure to bring you lots of traffic .Darren rowse did a interesting post some days back about how he gets traffic to his blog.it pointed out that he gets 40% traffic from stumbleupon [ i dont remember the exact figures ] .He also pointed out that google traffic is not the only source of traffic for bloggers.So instead of fully concentrating on google SERP , its best to concentrate evenly on everything .

    Well the best one to do is of course try to add your website(specific posts) to social networking websites, like reddit, Digg and stumble etc.......its the best way to do it in a professional manner !

    I get a lot of traffic from Stumbleupon, stumble some other sites as well not just your own - every other time or so, comment on other people's profiles, add them as friends,etc. My seojr.com blog gets most traffic from Yahoo, they rank me #1 for "free seo tips" keyword while Google just hates me. When I started the blog Google gave me PR3 and ranked me at top 10 but then just killed me. so just keep doing what your doing and other things like social sites(Stumbleupon) and you'll get it.
