Discussions

There's some discussion about this on the Google groups site, but no one seems to know anything. Blogger blogs are loading slowly this afternoon, on and off, and sometimes won't load at all, giving a "502" error.

I have a custom domain but still use Blogger for hosting because it's free of course.

Anyone else having problems?

S-L-O-W YES!! Both the dashboard and the actual blogs. You are not alone.

Yup, slow. They were all right earlier, but definitely slow now. Although I think I'd read things are going to be down for maintenance today, so maybe they're working on something.

Glad to know it's not just me.

Funny how we react when our blog goes down. Life could be much worse.

The other day I had trouble getting blogger to load as well as Google itself. I think its a Google thing.

UPDATE: Just found this on the Blogger help group:

Stuff always pops up on Fridays, doesn't it? :-)

As some of you folks have noticed, Blogger is experiencing some
latency issues that may be slowing the service down just a bit.

We are aware of the problem though, and are currently working on the
solution. Thanks for hanging in there!

Do you know of a host out there that does not have a)maintenance time, b)problems from time to time, or better yet c)no down time...ever?

Do you know a teenage kid that doesn't give their dad a receding hairline?

I use hostgator. Fine for me.

But I will be moving everything soon to a Proprietry content management system. Which is worth a lot more money but I'll be needing it to sell my products.

I thought you said it was because they are re-booting the internet?

I couldn't stand hostgator's customer "service." And they had their maintenance and downtime as well. But everybody has their preferences; nothing wrong with that. For free hosting, I can deal with a problem now and then. This is the first time since last August I've seen anything like that. They just didn't notify anyone.

I never had a problem with customer service

      What was the issue?
