Just curious if someone could provide some feedback on upgrading their BlogCatalog account. It seems like a good deal and just interested what others think.

Not here. What are the benefits?

Yes I would be interested in knowing that too?

Since "upgrading" is pretty much paying for a one of the top 5 spots in a category, it may be beneficial to click on one of the top 5 and and ask them directly (just a suggestion). Unfortunately, once the top 5 are purchased, they close out the category. Would love to hear what you find out.

I'm in the Sports | Running category - there's only 4 of us anyway! :-)

I've never considered upgrading. I'm to cheap to spend the money on something like that, hehe. As a poor student, I must save what little money I have

yes, i have and for the price i would say is okay. I have gotten a few hits, nothing major, though. However, a few hits is better than zero hits. And i need to get traffic if i want to live off my blog.

I have, In the Places section. I don't know yet if it is cost effective.
    I bought for 6 months.

I don't understand how to do it. I click on 'upgrade,' but the only thing I see is a FAQ. How do you upgrade?--thanks, kay

Hmm.. I'm not sure. When I click on Upgrade (after I click on manage on the top) I get the Upgrade site.

I hate to ask, but are you sure you're clicking the right link? hehe

kaybday, try clicking on the button that says 'Sponsor a Category Now'

it should take you to the following page:
      blogcatalog.com/account.upgrade.php

Wait a second, what FAQ are you talking about?

    sounds interesting.

On FAQ--it isn't labeled as that (sorry I used that term), but what I get when I click 'upgrade' is an explanatory page that doesn't have links to anything else, as far as I can tell.

I did get to the upgrade page by using the link from thegoodknife (thanks so much), but when I fill out the form, it wants credit card info and the page isn't an 'https' site and I don't see a lock either. Maybe that would show if I accessed directly from my own profile somehow?

I'd really like to do this--I think it's an excellent opportunity.

    best, Kay
