I recently watched a fantastic animation movie Ratatouille. I thouroughly enjoy cartoons. But many people known to me hold an opinion that cartoons are meant for kids and not adults.
Do you enjoy watching animations the same way as you did when you were a small kid?
Are animations meant only for kids? What's your opinion on this?

oh hell no, cartoons/animations are not just for kids!
rugrats, The Incredibles, the grim adventures of billy and mandy, foster's home for imaginary friends ... all of these cartoons have *levels* to them that the adults will catch, but not the kids. then, of course, there are shows like The Boondocks which are decidedly not for children, but instead, tackle real issues in our lives today.
of course, some people just say that i'm addicted to cartoons ... but i think there's far more to it than that. -
I think that animations are becoming less and less for kids all the time. I think its because writers don't want to hire actors to say the things that they have written like bad-mouthing big company like Wal-Mart. Also it costs less in money and time now and is becoming easier on the wallet. That's why animations like "South Park" "Family Guy" "Futerama" and others are being made. Visit my blogs too.

most definitely not, the market for cartoons has grown up with it's watchers a bit. The only difference I notice is that today's cartoons that are actually marketed to children are way more retarded than the one's I grew up in. Well at least most of them.

well the new justice league is way better than the old superfriends, showing how some animations have actually grown up with their viewers. I guess I consider myself more of a 90's cartoon fan than anything prior. I'm stuck on Nickelodeon, Fox kids Club, and the original power rangers (which looking back now, were just as retarded as today's shows).
