Years ago a pig chased me down and it really freaked me out. mythoughtsalways.blogspot.com/2009/02/my-thoughts-always-i-hate-pigs.html

So now I don't like pigs a whole lot. I don't like snakes either no real story to that one I just don't like them.

I hate any dog that craps on the path I'm going to walk on, but the animal I hate even more is the dog-owner who can't be bothered to stoop and scoop the crap that was crapped on the path I'm going to walk on.
    1. Shiley
Humans are animals so yeah it would be the human of the dog for me too. I love dogs and it's not the doggies fault. I have one that does that stuff regularly where I live.
  2. MadMadMargo
    Rattlesnakes! Yikes!!!
    1. Shiley
creepy! Are you in a region that has them? I am.
    2. MadMadMargo
I live in the middle of Sonoran Desert in Arizona. They are everywhere, I dread spring.
    3. Shiley
Conservationist dumped rattlesnakes on us. I hate when conservationist do that. Stuck with nasty smelly Japaneese Beetles too.
  3. voodooKobra
Red Pandas. Every time AG posts a picture of a red panda, I want to look away, but I cannot. Damned cute things!
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
They use hypnotism to woo you to their fluffy orange will.

Now I think about it, I'm a bit freaked out byaardvarks-- just something about those aardvarks that reminds me of someone... hm.... can't quite recall...
    2. Shiley
I think it must be the sheer nudity of it.
    3. ThriftShopRomantic
I think you might be right. It's obscene.
    4. voodooKobra
Oh man, it's worse than staring at a fractal! Darn it!
    5. Anok
      Make the cute stop!!!
    6. acousticguitarist
      that is not cute

That is an offended panda showing his rear at Kobra
    7. aningeniousname
      @ Shiley and Thrift
I know I shouldn't be surprised by the rampant Aardvarkism, but it just shows you how deeply ingrained it is when two lovely ladies like yourselves find it perfectly acceptable to indulge in it on nothing less than a public forum, shocking!
    8. drjay1966
Obviously Kobra's never had a good Red Panda fillet....
  4. acousticguitarist
no not at all. There ae ones I am cautious of but I like these

    1. Shiley
      Speak of the panda! Lol!
  5. busylizzy
Big hairy spiders give me the willies big time!
    1. Shiley
      not fond of those either.
  6. melindaville
I love all animals--but I don't want to have a close relationship with many, including bears, tigers, lions, etc. I am interested in all animals though! What I can't abide by are BUGS--they completely freak me out!
  7. voodooKobra
    Homo sapiens sapiens.
    1. voodooKobra
I'm guessing you were not surprised by that one at all.
  8. sunnyberra
I'm afraid, actually, of a lot of animals.
There's only one that I can say I hate, though (besides most people *g*) and that's seagulls. One attacked me as a kid because it wanted my sandwich, and in the process of stealing it, the darn thing mangled my thumb.
    1. Shiley
ouch! I hope your thumb is ok.
    2. acousticguitarist
but but sunny you've got ;little ferret things running everywhere
    3. sunnyberra
      @ AG

yes, but they're *mine*--makes all the difference

      @ Shiley

Thanks. And, yes, luckily it healed up fine *g*
    1. Shiley
It's not the pig that freaks me out but the size of it when it chased me down.
    2. acousticguitarist
i think any animal that size would be scary... imagine a mouse that size
    3. Shiley
Princess Bride is now in my mind
    4. busylizzy
ROUS - Rodent of Unusual Size!!!!!!!!!
  9. dosox
    Do you consider snakes?
  10. Stillthinking
I am not very fond of spiders. In fact, there was a recent art installation of a giant spider on the side of a building in the UK. I only saw a picture of it and my stomach starting flipping.
    1. Shiley
I get that way w/ snakes. I go to a blog w/ a picture and I jump out of my skin.
  11. Shiley
@dosox Just hate them. There's no good reason why don't like them.
  12. mugshot
Slugs *Shudders* Ever since I watched the film slugs as a kid I hate them with a passion.
    1. Shiley
There's a film? What am I saying of course there is! There's a film on everything. I saw a film about a worm or something that sucks brains out.
    2. mugshot
Lol Shiley thats the film Slugs, based on a book by Shaun Hutson.

Heres the trailor... www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvS3ZXZRSsk *shudders again*
    3. Shiley
Couldn't watch it all the way through. That's gross.
  13. riverstyxxx
People are the worst animals of all.
    1. dosox
      Like You
  14. enhancephotos
o'possums.. they can't see you very well with their beady little eyes.
    lol
But I tend to stay away from animals I don't like.. we have an agreement. They stay away from me, and I'll do the same hehe
    1. Shiley
They're supposed to be mean. Never crossed paths with one except in a car.
  15. robinj
spiders we went to eh museum yesterday and these digusting big bird spiders as big as your hand were crawling up the glass yuck
  16. rickbman
My basic rule is that if an animal has more than 4 legs or less than 2, I want nothing to do with it.
    1. Shiley
some one legged animals are nice. flickr.com/photos/purelyalaska/2498735082
    2. rickbman
lol, the bird normally has 2 legs so it is fine... I mean things that have a naturally occurring number of legs that is less than 2 or more than 4.
  17. Anok
Insects freak me out to no end - but as for mammals etc? None that I can think of.

I am cautious around animals like skunks, coyotes, bears, wolves and mountain cats, or fisher cats.

Also, raccoons and squirrels - they look cute, but carry diseases.
    1. Shiley
My aunt once had a skunk as a pet. Sniff was an interesting pet. He was debagged. Oh, and trained in a kitty litter thing.
  18. chicky401
    Stink bugs yuck!!!
    1. Anok
Oh aren't they little rat bastards!
    2. chicky401
Been finding them all over and they are sneaky! Couple times a just happened to see something on me out of the corner of my eye and look down and there is a stink bug! I am more scared of these buggers then probably anything
    3. Shiley
      yuck!
    4. chicky401
I guess you have had run ins with these stinky creepy crawlers too, huh?
    5. Shiley
Yup! I live in the country so there isn't much I haven't seen.
  19. IntoTheAzureSea
Snakes never fail to scare me, especially the poisonous ones.
    1. SaedT
but they're so cool though! :o
      their skin looks awesome :\
    2. Shiley
I touched a boa constrictor once at a natural history museum when it stuck it's tongue out at me that sealed the deal I didn't like him.

Questions: Are there any animals you really dislike?
Answer: Only humans. Well, some of them ...

I love all animals domestic and wild, and I have a healthy respect for all wildlife. Because I have lived in the bush I'm aware of their ways and also know how to avoid conflict between us. This is not to say that something unexpected could not happen. It is to say that I am "bush smart".

You didn't ask about insects but I'm here to tell you that I'm violently allergic to yellow jacket wasp stings. After 3 years of injections to "desensitize" me I still have a survival time of only 15 - 20 minutes. I carry an EpiPen and if I have to use it takes me a whole day to get back to breathing and feeling normal again. Adding insult to injury, it costs me $139. for each one and they only contain enough for a single injection.

Believe me when I say that I can tell the difference between the buzzing of bees or other wasps and the buzzing of the evil and vicious yellow jacket wasp.

P.S. When it comes to domestic livestock, I especially like pigs. They are smarter than dogs, cats, horses and some people ... lol And when it comes to wildlife, I especially like coyotes. They are such adaptable survivors ... OWW OWW OWW woooooooooo
    1. Shiley
That is one expensive allergy. I'm only allergic to food type stuff and some enviromental. Yellow Jackets you can't really control. They're unpredictable. I can't imagine having that as one of my allergies. TT I feel for you that has to be tough.
    2. busylizzy
Once when my toddler daughter and I were food shopping, there was a yellow jacket in the shopping cart and I didn't know it. It crawled onto my daughter and took a bite. You could hear her scream thoughout the whole store. I flicked it off and ran for the seafood department where we got crushed ice for the bite.

    MONKEYS D:

    Annoying little bastards.
  22. sisterofmercy
    I HATE Spiders and Earwigs.
    1. riverstyxxx
Earwigs!!! The rotten brothers of centipedes...Ughhh.
    2. Shiley
I've never heard of an earwig. I will have to google.
  23. LynneaUrania
I might answer, but seeing all the conspiracy theories abounding, I'm not about to give away what that poor guy did in the Orwellian story 1984.
    1. Anok
ooohhhh you had to bring that up, didn't you...
    2. aningeniousname
I have trebled my bacon intake since I read that book, I'm sure it was an advertisement for the pig marketing board. there's a conspiracy theory you don't hear much.
    3. LynneaUrania
Anok, as one who is dedicated with rope, I'm not someone you want to meet in the "Hall of Healing."
  24. ranist22
There aren't any I dislike. They've been put on earth for some purpose or another, like me. The ones I don't like too much I don't frequent that's all. I'm not the kind to scream when I see a mouse, a spider or a bat. I wouldn't swim near crocodiles or stroll in a jungle where there were togers, but I would love to photograph these beasts.
  25. OneMuslim
What animal to hate, Emm... I took so long thinking here... keep thinking... will back soon. small lizard on ceiling? maybe.

Here: Nothing special about this guy sticking onto the wall.
    1. Shiley
      Lol! just hanging around.
    2. OneMuslim
from the beginning, Hate this sticking onto the wall thing. if you don't believe me you can ask other BC members. They will say the same.
    3. Shiley
Oh, I believe you we have salamanders and they do the same. I think they're cool.
  26. annastl
I'd say spiders are EVIL. I realise they have a role to fill in the circle of life, but why did God have to make them so scary?
    1. Shiley
The baby is cute. Just so you know when you give links to your site and it's not relevant to the topic that's called spam and there are BC members that will tell you off over it. So, next time please provide a link that goes w/ the topic.
    1. Shiley
It's your blog do what you like. I didn't know they bite.
  27. wehireu
I don't particularly like scorpions. They are interesting in a scary way. Also, I was terrified of lobsters as a child. I thought they were giant cockroaches.
    1. Shiley
Lol! I think they are in the roach family. Thank God I'm allergic to seafood. I don't get into giant roach!
  28. inbusiness
I love all animals - yes I know thats boring, but hey I'm an animal lover through and through!
    1. busylizzy
Yes, but do you speak baby talk to them at the zoo?
    1. LynneaUrania
I made up a song about those dadgum roaches after the tune of "I've Been Working on the Railroad:"

I've been killing lots of roaches
      All the livelong day.
I've been killing lots of roaches
Just to pass the time away.
      Don't you feel the legs-a-crawling
When you rise up so early in the morn?
Don't you hear the tenants shouting
      Dinah, won't you blow....

      Dinah won't you blow
      Dinah won't you blow
Dinah won't you blow them up? (repeat)

Something's in the kitchen with Dinah!
Something's in the kitchen I know!
Something's in the kitchen with Dinah
      Crawling up the old banjo!

Wouldn't you love to use this in your next sing-a-long?
  29. 2mk
    I hate spider
  30. Scribblerchick
Kangaroos freak me out. They are huge jumping rats and they will hurt me!! My kids think I'm nuts but I HATE them. I will never visit Australia. Even seeing one in a zoo freaks me out. I think in a previous lifetime I was beaten up by one...
