Are there real people out there?

Topics: life, real people
It's a question I've wanted to ask since I was a teenager, and I've even typed it into the Internet from time to time (when it became public), wondering if anyone else was asking the same question.
I can't give you a definition for "real" people - I guess that's up to you to define as you see it. It just seems to me that for the first time since I've been asking that question, I may actually get an answer, here. And I look forward to it!

It's interesting how you have all denied existing in response to the question! I'm sure you're out there (it's all in your blogs) - I mean the real people who think about things and talk about life and the world and not just work and money like many of the people I have associated with. Likely the blog community is exactly the opposite - you've got so much to say you're putting it out there all the time which is pretty neat.
Also of note, I haven't asked that question in a few years now. Guess things have changed.

I think if you are talking about how real people are a better word to use would be 'authentic'. At least thats the one I use when I look at the people around me. Are they living their truth are they wearing a mask for the occasion a lot of people aren't being who they are but what they perceive society and their peers want them to be.

I suppose im real. even though i mainly discuss superficial thoughts in my blog (as in, not of any deep importance, like pet rocks, afros, and Jeopardy) i still do it drawing from whatever is on my mind. I think being real is just doing whatever you really want to (within lawfulness and decency) without worrying way too much about what people think about it. I guess by my own definition i would be fake though because i desire people to look at my blog and agree with me about what random crap i say and relate to it.
But yeah i dont constantly talk about "typical" things like money and stuff -

Good question! Going back to my definition of "real" which is people who really live in this world instead of unfortunately being unable to participate other than just letting it happen (as I used to be though I was frustrated with it and didn't know how it could change), then I'm happy to say that I'm on my way to being more real every day. It's a struggle, and I feel the pull all the time to just slip back into a life with no self-direction but I'm getting stronger each day and don't think it will happen.

I understand there are 3 real persons out there. Where are they? From what I know they remain triangularly located around the globe. Sex? Age? Race? Unknown. All we know for sure is their dedication to creating millions - even billions now - of independent avatars. It is rumored two of the three are becoming bored with the whole game, but one - so far - keeps challenging them to continue. So far...

Well, I do consider myself real, I'm not one to put on "a show" for anyone and I don't (and won't) change who I am on account of anyone else. Granted, being so straightforward and blunt does sometimes get me into trouble but, oh well, that's life and I'm okay with that. Heck, nothing is perfect, nobody's perfect, so why pretend any differently? In my opinion, pretending is nothing more than a royal waste of time and it'll just catch up with you sooner or later anyway. Better to keep it real, if you ask me.
PS for Rivy; LOL, great answer, Ralph! ;-)
