How many people still feel the lost of 9-11? This world gets crazier and crazier day by day. Are we becoming numb to the horrors of the world due to the constant barrage of crazy acts. I for one will never become numb and will allow myself to struggle forward and help in whatever way I can to make this world a better place. One heart at a time.

One of the reasons that I created a comedy site is to try and buffer our stressful lives with a funny video and a funny picture. It only helps for a few seconds but those seconds ease the pains.

Beautiful and Moving Tribute to 9-11 that everyone should see and share.

My experience is that people only care when it affects them.As long as their house isn't in foreclosure etc.Americans better wake up.
People are to worried about themselves, their cell phone is more important then their neighbor.
And you can see how good this method works
    Yuppies ruined America.
    But we're coming back BABY!!!!

I don't think so. It's actually healthy that people move on and not stay mired in the fear/horror/misery that was 9/11. Think about it, we might ask "how many of you remmeber Pearl Harbor?" But that doesn't mean that Pearl Harbor is irrelevant or totally forgotten.

Further, when was the last time you pondered the 625,000 dead from the Civil War - or the 53,000 shot at Gettysburg in 3 days (often incorrectly stated as "killed"). Most folks don't think about those things - but they certainly aren't forgotten. A quick trip to to the field reveals just how relevant and remembered they still are - even if you don't hear about them every day or they aren't fresh in our minds.

Regarding 9/11 though - we had a recent reminder. WHen one of my buddy's got married in NYC earlier in the year, one of his other friend's wives was the daughter of a fireman killed in the WTC collapse. Made me realize how much I had blocked that day out - but I'm happy to report she's in good spirits and even indicates she's moved on. I asked her about it and she said her Dad wouldn't have wanted her to be miserable for the rest of her life.

The irony of this post is that I am the person that is saying the next statement: There is no need to be gloomy about it.

It could be we are becoming desensitized after the years of daily reports of suicide bombings in Iraq and other places. One of these days we'll find out why the gov't has impeded the investigation into the 9/11 attack.

It is hard to be sensitized to suicide bombings in Iraq when they are mainly words in a headline or a sanitized report for TV news outlets. We are not even allowed to see images of flag draped coffins of our war dead.
