I was a drug addict, not anymore. but still fighting for wine though I have stop completely for 3-4 months but I easily fall back to drinking heavily 24 hrs.
Blogging has help me forget wine till today.

Used to be a big alcoholic. I don't feel sorry or pity for drug addicts though, that's their choice if they ruin their lives or not.

i am tired of this banter. we should legalize all of it and let the mathematics take its course. it would eliminate the crime element and there will always be a percentage who use. lets get it out of the penal system an dtreat it when it needs treating. not all drug use is bad. itwhen u sprinkle xanax on cherios thats when it gets weird

  Also, note that I said "If I want to escape reality." That's a rare occasion for me.

If I'm going to be honest I would say I'm a drug addict.
I have used drugs since 11 and I still smoke a lot of weed
but I don't do any other drugs anymore or drink.
But that could change with the weather if I'm not careful;)
I always lived my life on the edge.No regrets

u name is, i've tried it. (except crack) never addicted to anything except marijuana. marijuana and haagendaz icecream and poptarts should be avoided by all. The tasty high is dangerous. Kids, if you're reading this, just say no to crack! stay in school and drink your milk!

Same here. I've done about all of 'em. One day I was done, and that was it. I stuck with pot for a long time until it started making me paranoid of everything. I have no regrets though. Those were goods days, it was only until I kept doing them when the days were gone. Hard to explain.

Nope.
Never tried, never will, because i KNOW I'll get addicted.

There's this girl in my class. She was an alcoholic, smoker, druggie, anorexic. Lost her virginity when she was 13.
Now she's reformed and is a great class rep.

It is a sick world, my own kid has told me some horror stories about what other kids have gone through. We always discuss about drugs, sex and problems to solve in life. He said he will never do drugs.
I did drugs for 19 years and almost died but fully recovered thanks to Narconon www.narconon.org/ I have been drug free for 20 years now.
Just remember that the physical scars will never disappear, only the spiritual--if you know how to.

Never hate them, they have just got themselves caught up in the wrong mix (life). I've never had experiences so I can't relate. Nor can I understand the "why"'s and the "how"'s to pity them.
Just wish things like this has easy outs as ins, for their sake.

My extended family has it's share of addicts, but I don't hate them. But, honestly, if you are exposed to the behavior and the people you can get slightly apathetic to their situation (so much so, in fact, that we hardly to talk extended family members).

No really never been addicted to anything besides nicotine and caffeine (and well sex doesn't count.) Will always enjoy coffee but the nicotine is on it's way out the door.
