Hey Dosox - Thanks for dropping by. I definitely appreciate creativity, a talent very few people have.

I have no formal training in writing. I only write for the heck of it so to answer your question I honestly don't know how I fare. Maybe you can tell me...

      It's fantastic, definitely 8, 9 or a perfect 10! Thanks for sharing :-)

9 - I will say I have become much better over the three years I've been blogging.

I must say that my skills have also improved as a result of blogging. Thanks for dropping by!

Let's see, on a scale of 1-10, I would probably rate myself a -13, but it's such an absolute joy that it doesn't really matter to me. I usually have more run on sentences than Toys-R-Us has toys, but the sense of peace that sometimes snuggles up beside me once I have finally "vented" is well worth any "embarrassing" grammatical crimes I may have committed along the way. I write, often times, as a means of self therapy.

If I feel better afterward, then I wrote well that day.

If I don't feel better afterward, then I wrote horrible that day.

This, in a way, has nothing at all to do with writing. And, yet, it has everything to do with writing.

Very insightful way of looking at things, writing can definitely help therapeutically, because it helps to program your mind and lay out the facts. Thanks for contributing to the discussion.

Oh, I've no way to tell! Please help!

Simply by looking at the sentence you made, I would say above 6 or more. Thank you

Nigel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...

Martin: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?

      Nigel: Exactly.

Martin: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?

Nigel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?

      Martin: I don't know.

Nigel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?

Martin: Put it up to eleven.

      Nigel: Elevn. Exactly. One louder.

Martin: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?

      [Pause.]

      Nigel: These go to eleven.

About rating my writing skills, i can only say that I love writing!

Oh my - I think I see blog links which may be irrelevant to the topic under discussion being dropped into this thread like snowflakes falling in a blizzard.

That's too bad because we can click any BC username and arrive on a member's BC profile page. When we do that they get a BC stst. And when we click the url to their blog they get another BC stat. But if they drop a blog link and we click it they get now BC stats.

Regarding rating my writing. I write well.
    1. timethief
I'm laughing at the typos I made above. So this is a "play it again, Sam" post.

      Relevant links only
On one hand, whether it's our link or it belongs to another blogger, we are allowed to post links into comments in threads on the BC forums, if and only if the link(s) we post directly relates to the topic of the thread.

On the other hand, every time a member drops a blog link that isn't relevant it can be reported for removal. But that's not the most important point.

      BC Blog rank stats
Every time a member opportunistically drops a non-relevant blog link into a comment in a thread on this BC forum they are losing potential BC blog rank juice.

We can click any BC username here and arrive on a BC profile page and that counts for a BC profile view stat for the applicable member. We can then find the blog url on that BC profile page and click it and that counts for a BC hit stat for the applicable member.

So, if a member spams a comment by opportunistically dropping a blog link into it, and other members click the link, then the link dropper loses the BC stats that could have been had if others had clicked their BC username and then their blog url instead.

I guess it is an opportunity cost they are willing to go ahead with. Thanks for notifying me of this.

Hmmm ... maybe an 8? I hate numerical scales.

I think I write rather well, although not necessarily in a grammatically correct manner each and every time.

I concentrate on good content and try to write in a very laid back, easy going, humorous style so that people can hear my actual "voice" when they read my words.
    1. smallfishbigmoney
I believe your point about your 'actual voice' is of quintessential importance, especially with all the noise of anyone and everyone blurting out content nowadays. :-)

I think I write very well. Maybe seven or eight...don't want to push it and there's always room for improvement.
But why don't you check out my blog yourself and let me know????

it depends on my emotional attachment to the subject. It depends on my mood, my emotional state. Too many factors.
