Suddenly, the winter dropped by my balcony...

Are You a Winter Person?

It snowed here yesterday and I still have a dusting on the ground. Am I a winter person? Well I don't mind the winter and the snow but I really don't enjoy the ice on my mountain road.

Coming up to summer her now in Australia, prefer the winter though. We still get nice sunny weather in winter here but a bit cooler. Wouldn't like to live in a really cold country with snow though, too cold.

Thats what its all about living here, you get used to it, Oh and don't forget cane toads, here they are everywhere at night. Backyard, front yard, roads but its part of living in such a great country. You also get used to seeing the big Huntsman spiders crawling along the inside walls of your house, some nearly half the size of your hand. Its great!
Have a look at this picture members.iinet.net.au/~pterren/Spider_Dads_hand.JPG found on Google. -
They don't hurt, their venom is very light, only gives you a little tingle. Been bitten by them before but nothing happens.

God, no! Summer is my season, always has been. I've disliked cold and snow ever since I was a kid. A t-shirt, a pair of shorts, bare feet and a long beach to walk on. That's my idea of Paradise.

I am with nothingprofound. I feel mellow, creative, productive and pleasant to be with in summer. All I have to wear is a big sun-hat, some 30+ sunblock cream and a bathing suit.
But come June, July and August, I feel depressed, sluggish and unsociable. The concept of seasonal affective disorder was invented to explain MY sad behaviour in winter

I have a dream to never see a grey, dreary winter again for the rest of my life.
If I have enough money one day *sigh*, I am going to sell the family home (the children got married years ago) and buy two small flats, one in Melbourne and one in the northern hemisphere.
That way I will work for 9 pleasant months of the year here (Sept-May inclusive) and spend 3 months of the year (June-August inclusive) sunning myself around the Mediterranean Sea.
