May be true for some, but for others, reliance is a nice way to say addiction.

Reliance can be addiction, but often it's not.
Those of us who live out in the sticks are majorly inconvenienced when we have car trouble. Our lives grind to a halt. This is not addiction, it's reliance on life-an enabling tool.
And the internet is like any other such tool; invisible and taken for granted while it's there, but crippling when it is absent.
But for what it's worth, while I am reliant and not addicted, I'd really rather keep it please ;>

Yeah, pretty much so. A little frustrating in that I find I'm doing less posting of my own - for my own record - but satisfying in that I am finding a community of like-minded travelers. -
Definitely, when my internet isn't working I don't know what to do with most of my time. -

No. It's more of an aid to pass time when I have nothing else to do. -
I am - and have been since 1996. It's an admitted addiction. I've been off for over 48 hours and when I come back, she's always waiting with a smile and bow.-

My F5 button is worn down...I think that's a yes! But I am going to use living in the sticks and having few other options for news and communication...no that isn't a radio...and that's not a phone...and no that isn't a bus-stop outside...damn...

I have been addicted to the internet (and/or computers) at varying degrees throughout my life. The happiest times of my life have been away from a computer, though. -

Yes, definitely. I was off for several months. I'm back on now,and I'm finally recovering from THAT nightmare. -

Well maybe because apart from blogging for Onesuite, I also get my news from the internet not to mention information I need for personal growth and job related materials.
Of course I also have social networking accounts I get to log in everyday plus emails to reply...actually I'm on the internet more than half of my waking hours everyday. -

No. Drugs, alcohol and loud music typifies my life. But I do like to go on the net when I'm drunk, bored, stoned or whatever. That's usually a good bloody laugh.

yes, I spend most of my time here doing online stuffs like that and i love online gaming. I'm also into online business. I'm practicing how to be a blogger. -

I don't know, but I got online bout 14-18 hours/day in front of my laptop -
I can stay off line for trips, etc. but I need the internet to work on so I need it in my house. Sure I post here, play mafia games and poker on facebook and another site but if something comes up I have no problem shutting off the computer and heading out the door. -
yes, if my internet goes down.... I get a little angry. -
