There are so many brands out there, is there some reason why you prefer/recommend a particular type?

As much as I hate Apple, (Just google the search "ibook g4 airport kernel panic" to see why) I would probably still go with a macbook pro... and just for the record, I hate Apple with a passion (Everyone who purchased the last gen ibooks thanks apple for the bricked laptops).

I own an Aspire 3500 that I buy back in 2005. Reliable machine. Its running a bit slower now, but its because I havetoo much stock on it. I have a 15.4 screen, DVD player, CD. Couldn't live without it!

I've been thinking of getting the Apple Keyboard for my PC .. but, I would never get an Apple/Mac as my first computer - or my laptop computer ... However, IF (when) my 3rd "spare" pc computer crashes I might get a Mac to for my wife to plug in her iPod

// As you know - ipod's crashes computer occassionally, and prevent PC from turning on if plugged in.

PS here's what an Apple keyboard for PC looks like

I've been using Benq keyboards for a while now, because they take up relatively little space - so, for my laptop and desktop I have these keyboards. But - I tried the Apple Keyboard and it takes up about the same space, quite sturdy, and clicks when you type (or at least the one I tested was setup to do that)

added// btw - that was to answer your question - is there some reason why you prefer/recommend a particular type?

I would only recommend the keyboard.
