do you know that a smoke detector, dentures and watch dials, among others, emit radiation?

They do...They basically contain uranium that is radioactive and emits a certain amount of radiation

Really useful but even more useful if I get to glow in the dark - could be useful on the market in winter - must get a bigger watch dial.

the bigger your watch dial or glow-in-the-dark accessory, the higher amount of uranium it contains, thereby posing much health risk to you.

    1. Smoke detectors do contain a small amount of radioactive material.

    2. Old watch dials were radioactive, but modern watches are not.
    1. praning5254
it depends on the construction of a smoke detector... and modern watch dials still have uranium...

      Maybe in Iran.

i can live with the small amount of radiation from a smoke alarm. You'd probably have to eat one to be effected.

these things pose less of a health risk than crossing the street. Just like getting an x-ray taken...it poses no health risk.

Wow Praning5254 thanks for the Link
I have two fillings in my back teeth
and will be getting those out soon via my trip to the dentist.
I am replacing those with invisible fillings
but I am not sure how safe those are either.
Then I am going on a detox.
You just never know what you ingested with all the hard water
and stuff I have in my apartment and over the years.

      your welcome, jeunelle...

before you replace your fillins, you ask your dentist if it contains uranium or what are those fillings made of...there are lots of alternative out in the market...

    Yes.

So is the soil, the air, and you.

The items you mention have more than the background radiation that's in everything: but unless someone eats a smoke detector, or keeps the innards of one strapped to one's skin, it shouldn't be a problem.

A real problem, decades and decades ago, were manufacturing methods for those glow-in-the-dark watch numbers. People painting the glowing stuff on were in the habit of keeping their brushes 'sharp' by licking them. Big problem: the stuff on the brushes was chemically toxic, and radioactive.

First of all you can get sick from Electromagnetic Fields
inside your home from Microwaves and Televisions.
I do a detox every year because it gives me more energy
and cleans out my tubes. Lmao but the results can be felt.
I really don't spend too much of my time worrying about
all this stuff but it doesn't hurt to be aware of it.
Lately I purchased some Ginseng, Bee Pollen
and Bee Propolis, I now have energy of a 18 year old.

      @Norski,
yeah, i'm aware of those problems...my point in raising this discussion is to help people raise their awareness on radiation and that they shouldn't really be scared of it because it is present everwhere...unless of course, we're talking about nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons...

I saw a comedy with John Ritter and in the scene the lights were out and he and another guy were wearing colored condoms, which glowed in the dark! It was so funny.
