Are you comfortable talking about your age?
OR
Are you offended if asked to tell your age?
I recently posted an article sharing views and answers given by my bunch of friends.

It is not problem with me. It's either you keep it or you flaunt it. If someone asks me what's my age I tell them i am 14 years old.

I'm not at all concerned about stating my age to folks I meet face-to-face. I rather like the fact that I have always appeared to be younger than my chronological age. The truth is that I'm vain and I ♥ it when people are surprised to hear my age ... lol
However, I don't state my specific age online. I simply state I'm in my 50's. I have previously been stalked, but the primary reason I give no hard and fast DOB and location specifics and use different ones at every social network I join is for protection from identity theft. -

I'm 43 and I'm not shy about it. I like the gray in my hair, and I'm happy to be a grandma while I'm young enough to enjoy it. But people IRL are often very surprised to learn my age. Several people at my current company have told me that they took me to be about 30 when I started working there three years ago.

Sometimes working with older people it's easier to let people assume things about your age, than actually stating the exact numbers. People so often see age and how capable you are in a business context as something that go hand in hand. Not that I don't, experience comes with age, but in the music industry being younger than 30 can often come in handy.

I've no problem because as Mark Twain said: "Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."
Anyway what's important is whehter the person is being mature or not. I've of months ago on this topic over my blog in the post entitled "Grow Up". -

Yes, in fact I announce it right on my blog!!!! I've never understood really, why people are uncomfortable with it. It is what it is, and hiding it isn't going to change anything. I also laugh when people say they're younger than they are...because then people look at them and think, "Gee, they sure look OLD for that age!" HA!!!! My Dad always said that women should say they're older than they are, so then people will say, "Gee, you look GREAT!"

If they ask me, then I ask them to guess. Then I tell them my real age, which is usually a surprise to them. People mistake me for being the younger brother of my younger brother.
