You'll never be fully happy or content in any relationship until you are fully happy and content with yourself.
With that said, no, I am not fully content and happy because I am not content and happy with myself 100%. But my spouse, with all of his quirks and issues too is a solid match for me, and I am happy to have him in my life. I wouldn't want to share my misery with anyone else

Yes, I am very happy in my relationship or I wouldn't be in it. We laugh, care, share, look after each other, are compassionate, thoughtful, kind and loving. YES!!!

To the extent that we can attain anything approaching true happiness in this world, I am extremely pleased with my relationship. We have been together for 10 years through every possible adversity and we have conquered injury, jealousy, mutual mistrust and poor communication. After working out all the trouble, we have found an inseparable bond. My partner almost died in an accident and I have cared for him ever since, sacrificing my job in the process. Never forget: Relationships are HARD WORK and not for the faint of heart, the jealous, the possessive or the proud. If a relationship seems "easy," something is wrong. Success requires not only self-effacement, but also the ability to endure humiliation, even when you don't deserve it. If you always must be right, it is not the path for you.
Do relationships make us happy? I think they offer a seductive way to trigger immensely pleasurable sensations. But only the individual can say what makes him or her happy. I write about it all the time, both seriously and through satire... feel free to check out my archives on it:
