Anyone out there gonna buy one of the new iPods just announced from Apple?
What about those new headphones? They really look very cool... and the price point seems like a real breakthrough

I bought the original 10GB iPod in 2002 and upgraded to iPod classic last year. Now I have a iPod touch that I use as a PDA. I have to say apple's products last and are great quality. I will not be buying a new one soon, but will always recommend them. Specifically the new iPod touch, I think its better to get that then a PDA.

I already have a 3g iPhone and an iPod Touch. That new touch does look pretty awesome, especially with the new speaker and volume controls which were much needed, but the last thing i need is another apple touch device.

I refuse to buy iAnything. They're usually too high-priced or too high-function for my needs, often both.

hmmm..... i am an Apple junkie. Once you buy their whole thing, it all integrates so well.

Apple is about quality and design. Make it easy and make it durable. Yes it costs more then a lot of crap out there. But if you look at what is inside there products and how they work, then you realize that they aren't expensive. My parents have two computers, a five year old iMac and a two year old Toshiba Laptop. The 5 year old iMac is faster and will out last the Laptop. You know your getting something good, not a lemon when you buy and Apple.

Why would I buy an iPod when I can get a bigger mp3 player from a brand I trust (NOT MS, of course) for $100 less? Why would I buy an iPhone when I already have a working cell phone (that was free with my contract) that takes pictures and plays music? If I travelled a lot, I can see how having everything in one package would make sense. The items I already have are smaller and more convenient to carry around, they work fine, and I prefer to surf the 'net with a monitor on which I can actually see things. It just seems like iThings are toys for most people and not tools. For that kind of money, I could completely upgrade my computer or buy hundreds of new songs to put on my mp3 player. That seems like a better use of the cash, to me.

I know that Apple has a very strong following, but they are not infallible. Consider the early trouble with iPods and their unwarranteed screen troubles. Not all of the reviews for the new iPhone are completely positive, either.

I'm a Mac whore but I already own a 160GB iPod classic, a second gen 2GB Nano and a 4GB iPhone so buying a new one would be kind of stupid on my part. But I definitely will be putting my order in for the headphones soon, they do look pretty neat. Still waiting for the PowerBook Touch for my next laptop upgrade as well.

We've still got the original iPod, but it just died on us so we need to re-up. The touch screen looks nice. Plus the album cover art is a neat "bell and whistle" we didn't have on the boring (yet essential) original.

Nope. I have an ipod I don't use. Just bought an iPhone. Love it!

I'd like one of the new minis -- but I already have one that I've had for a couple years and it's still fine. I really like iPods, but I won't get a new one unless my old one breaks.

The maddening thing about Apple is that you buy one product and something even more intriguing comes out 6 months later.

As much as I am intrigued with Ipod Touch, I am not planning to buy it until my Ipod Nano goes kaput.

I'm still using Ipod Nano 2nd Generation, which I bought in 2007. It's the only Apple product that I have. It has fell on concrete floor three times and marble floor once. But it's still working superbly.

P/S: I think the current Ipod Nano is tad ugly looking due to the black frame surrounding it. Same thought goes to the new Ipod Shuffle. So my eyes are only on Ipod 2nd Gen and Ipod Touch in the future.
