Are you happy with the choice of Matt Smith for the new (11th) Doctor Who? I loathe to see David Tennant go, but am open minded as to the new guy...
Now if only the producers brought back Billy Piper... :-)

I'm not familiar with Matt Smith-- I'll have to go look him up. I too will miss David Tennant. I think he's been terrific-- very quirky.

  What I like about David Tennant is this slightly scared look that he often has, makes the Doctor a bit more 'human' and believeable, IMHO.

I look forward to seeing the new doctor in action, though no doubt the "fatherly" feeling between the assistants and he will disperse even more into romantic infatuation.

I was a bit disappointed. I would have preferred someone older (like in their 50s) or a black actor would have been a bit more interesting. I'm getting a bit fed up of everyone on TV looking the same! But Moffat is amazing so it will be a good series...I think it's a real shame that we won't have any time with Tennant and Moffat as head-writer...Russel T Davies has become a shockingly bad writer! It's like watching fanfic!

As for Billie Piper...her return was the most sickening thing I've ever seen! And I loved Rose! I'm choosing to pretend that that whole season finale didn't happen...
