   Five years ago my wife and I decided to work our way out of debt. Today we have a modest house payment and $1,200 in credit card debt. Our cars are paid off and we pay cash for all purchases. I suggest you go to www.daveramsey.com/ for help with getting out of debt.
   Debt makes you a slave to the creditor get free!
   
   As a result of being almost debt free my wife and I have decided not to participate in this recession.
