Are you in it for the $$ or you just like to write?

I know there are posts out there everywhere with tips and tricks on how to make some cash. Is there anyone who writes just because they love to write. I guess for the self satisfaction even if they dont get the approval of their audience?

Well, hopefully most of us are here because we enjoy writing. Not that I'm against making some cash along the way, but it certainly isn't the driving force behind what I do.

I'm always amazed that this topic appears every two or three days, it seems ... I'm in it to write, but if I make a buck then whoo-hoo for me. Never the other way around, though.

it seems alot of sites these days have so many flashing neon banners and such i cant even fish out there entries. Yeah a few bucks would be great i guess but i just cant see selling out beyond belief like that. It almost makes the blog seem unreal or unbelievable.

  Admittedly, I took up blogging to earn money, I realized that it wasn't that easy. As I entered deeper into the blogosphere I came to admire bloggers who stick to their theme/niche and wrote truthfully about it, shows only their love for blogging. I wish to be like that sooner or later.

Im in it for neither, I'd say the recognition as opposed to that i like to write, but money is not one of my main goals, especially since I like to keep my blog ad-free and uncluttered

Honestly, I started blogging because I wanted to write and get my message across. I still do, but my first site failed miserably. I'm still writing for fun but I'm trying to make some cash on the side too!

You could go around the neighborhood and pick up bottles and cans for an hour every week and make more doing that then writing nonstop on a blog.
