Are you slapped in Google Pagerank?

Many sites have been demoted on their pagerank by Google today.

I saw many high reputable blog were demoted, PR->PR5, PR6-PR4 and PR4->PR2. But I have seen some blogs having PR4 or PR5 remains unchanged.

My observation is that Google killed those blogs which are aggressively selling ads spaces or text links. Those without ads are spared.

What do you think? Do you have no ads on your blog but still have pagerank demotion?

I think people want to believe this but I've read of many blogs without ads having dropped PR.

Maybe they aren't done and maybe they should just not this as a sticky as people seem obsessesed with this today - not just here.

my pagerank is unchanged. i have a small box of ads.

of course, i don't check mine but every once in a while when everyone screams that there's been yet another shakeup. so maybe i was a 6 or 7 two weeks ago and i'm back to a 5 again! lol

I do have ads, used to be PR3, predicted to become PR5, yesterday demoted to PR2.

I do not have yet a pagerank as my blog is only 18 days old.. But i really love to have at least pagerank of 1..

  Patience, my blog is 2 months old and I too was frustrated that I have no PR at all, so I worked really hard to generate one way back links, submitting articles on directories, leaving comments on other blogs, submitting rss feed of my blog etc etc, and suddenly I got PR 6
