Artistic Outlets of Bloggers

I have found that a lot of people who write blogs are generally creative people. I wonder what are your other passions or creative outlets.

For me, I like to paint. I find a canvas too intimidating, so instead I create painted boxes that I often give as little "gifts for no reason" to friends and family. I also like to dabble in photography (meaning I like to take pictures, but don't ask me to explain anything about focal length).

What are your outlets, creative or otherwise?

  cm - do you sell your t-shirts? My husband LOVES t-shirts. Collects all kinds. Would love to take a look at some if they are available.
  
  On my list, I forget graphic design. I do a lot of work making posters for band shows, invitations, cards, and some logo work. Normally, it is out of the kindness of my heart and my willingness to play on the computer. I made my own custom wedding invitations that came out amazing (if I do say so myself) and probably would have cost me 5 times what it would have if I had bought something in the same style.

  The current version of Firefox might help. You'd have to check to be sure, but I believe it's got a spellchecker 'in' the browser.

Blogging is sort of an outgrowth of my fiction writing, even though it's nonfiction. At the moment I'm working on a SF novel that I started back during NaNoWriMo.

I also do photography, painting, and various crafty projects that I usually sell on eBay. I'm weird in that I love making stuff, but I don't so much like having stuff that doesn't serve an immediate purpose. Like crafts. So I sell them or give them away.

I write poetry, childrens stories, short stories, in the middle of a novel, painting, love crafts, needlepoint, love music and dancing. I am attracted to everything artistic. I also make custom invites and party decorations.

Expressing myself artistically is my release. It's something I just have to do to remain happy and sane. lol

I play guitar. I listen to music and look at different album covers. I read tech books and design books. I observe your avatars and try to see shapes out of them. I do all these to spice up my creativity. Unfortunately for me, it's frustrating because it seems quite late for a guy in his mid-20's. I could've started way earlier, like when I was 9.

I actually tend to blog about my art, I do pet portraits in a variety of different mediums, as well as photography, I also make jewelry (silver wire and gemstone beaded stuff mostly).

Now: Photography, Haiku, Fun doggerel, very short fiction stories based on my experiences, computer image-editing, computer drawing playing around, writing long but interesting letters to family & friends overseas, making people laugh, singing.
Used to: Photography, singing, dancing (all types, before spine problems), acting, making people laugh, childish art & doodling (some interesting results there!), desktop publishing, simple B+W computer graphics, co-writing simple plays with my best schoolfriend Eileen (in secondary school).

I so want a painted box, that sounds cool.

Personally I program, design websites, mess with linux. I know it doesn't seem too creative but when you really get into it, it's an art in itself.

And I am big in photography when I have the time.

Dance, screenplay writing, documentary filmmaking, marketing, crocheting, fire performing...I used to do leatherwork, calligraphy, candle, soap, and beer making. I was a commercial make up artist for many years. I cook now and used to make clothes and play classical guitar. I'm even a trained stunt woman.

I've done all sorts of crazy stuff!

I love to embroider by hand or machine. But to embroider by hand is my favorite form. For the last few weeks I have become addicted to yo-yos. those little circles you sew and gather and can then make into quilts and such.

Writing..working on my third novel. I play the piano but not well enough to impress anyone. Before kids I was really into making my own clothes and needlework crafts. I obsessed over beade weaving and making beaded amulet bags for a few years, sold them all at pretty good prices, too.

Now I mostly write and chase kids....lol.
