I use to love The Magic Garden with Carol and Paula and the Chuckle Patch. I was thrilled when I found it on Youtube. I think this show was on late 1970's.

I had so many...Thundercats, Gem, Chip and Dale, Alvin and the Chipmunks, all Looney Tunes. And this are just a few of my favorites.

As for actual sitcoms, Welcome Back Kotter, Good Times, Sanford and Son, The Carol Burnett Show, Laughin....man I miss the good old days (even though I was born when many of these shows were recorded...lol)

The Greatest American Hero...my mom made the costume from scratch for Halloween back in the early 80's...I was the only kid in town with that costume...

This is fun--always a real challenge for me, trying to fit my old curmudgeon demeanor into these pop culture discussions. There wasn't any TV when I was a kid. I grew up with Bob Hope and Red Skeleton on radio. My first car (high school, World War II, 1941-1944), was a 1930 Model A Ford that I had to hand crank to get started. Milk was delivered to my house in a horse-drawn wagon. We kids had to regularly shovel horse dung out of the way in order to play tennis in the street.

Oh, well, it's always fun trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

That's cool though my gram was always telling me about Dick Tracy and General Hospital started on the radio.

The good old days seem much better than now. All the kids want to do these days is play video games. I go out in the summer and look around wondering where are all the kids?

Those Lakers/Celtics matchups were the greatest EVER!

I still have game 4 of the 1987 championship on VHS. I don't know what possessed me to tape that one (it was the only sporting event I ever taped), but, it may be the greatest NBA game I've ever seen.

There was this other show, and for the life of me I can't remember it. The good guy had a cursor (or something) for a friend, and it would create anything he needed, like a super fast car or a helicopter... blech.

Oh, also, anyone remember the Starman TV show? That was awesome.

Magic Garden and The Chuckle Patch was awesome, btw.

    4. AmyOops
Too Funny. My daughter was talking the other day about how all the girls in her school had a crush on johnny depp. I told her sure we all did when i was a kid too. Boy was she in shock when she heard he was the same age as her grandpa!
    5. iconic
hahahaha!!! Now that is the funniest thing I heard today!!

Yea I dont think the younger kids realise how long Johnnie Depp has been acting for. He's a great actor and he has come along way since 21 Jump St. Is he still being featured in those teen magazines? lol if he is.

My favourite show was a badly dubbed Japanese show called Monkey. It was about a Bhuddist monk taking the Bhuddism to China with the help of three gods, Monkey, Pigsy, and Sandy.
    1. iconic
I remember that!!...Monkey Magic!!!...and the flying cloud they all flew on...lol. Remember when Monkey would do his thing with his fingers to call the cloud!!
    2. aningeniousname
Oh yeah that was the best bit and when he did something bad the monk would tighten the band round his head.
