As of November 10, 2008 at 11:53 am EDT, Kobra's Corner has its 400th article ever posted. (Two were removed a few years ago at the risk of being expelled from high school. Heh.)

Very lucky. No Internet yet when I was in high school. Jobs lay you off today like crazy. Great idea to start blogging now at your age. Nothing beats being in business for yourself.

  Even better than trying to squeeze a living out of running a blog is becoming a world renowned scientist. The only Nobel prize I can't see myself ever winning is the peace prize.

Hey, happy 400 there, Kobra!

I came from a family that explained things (possibly too much at length-- my dad was an adjunct professor and LOVES to lecture)... but I never regretted being able to get answers to things.

The world is a fascinating place with LOTS of amazing things to experience, read, learn about, and share. More power to parents who invest a love of learning in their kids.

Totally agree. I love giving factually accurate information to my son. He refers to his parts by their anatomically correct names; penis, etc. Why dress it up in a cute name? Because of shame? It's not as if he runs around screaming 'penis' all day long. Well, not often.

Congrats on the 400th post. I want you to simmer though. In my mind I picture bulging veins as you crafted this diddy. Now I would recommend doing some calm breathing exercises, of course I don't know why they work but they do and that is my little piece of willful ignorance but I'm about to google it and come back and let you know why it calms the nerves

Side note parents who choose to color things up with little stories that I like to call lies are doing not only a disservice to their children but sending ignorant tools into the world for the rest of us to deal with.
