Hello all.

There may or may not be any of us here tomorrow to see this, because a few people and scientists are afraid that a new, massive atom smasher that is about to go online tomorrow will blow up the world. Or a good chunk of it.

So, what do you guys think? Will it actually happen? What does this say about people who have predicted doom by man-made things?

Go to my blog to read what I think will happen and leave your comments here or on my blog. And don't forget the (possibilty last?) poll!

yeah apparently it is more likely to create a black hole than for me to win the lottery

Its going to create a Micro black hole which would have no effect ;/

Just how much damage can a micro black hole cause?

I said it before. in one of the other 82 threads about this.

People need to stop making scientific conclusions based on having seen every Star Trek episode and try to remember that some of the greatest minds in the world are working on this.

(im guessing they know that their research would be pretty useless if we all blink out of existence)

Wait until Thursday, when the real effect of the LHC will become known.

Selective amnesia from all the Armchair Scientists who predicted doom on wednesday.

Exactly! Not like it matters, we're all really holodeck characters anyway.

Far more chance of Bush destroying the world than some Atom smasher in Swiss.

But what would you do if the world were to end tomorrow?
