Here is something completely random. It is a short video of my baby girl laughing for the first time:

When you hear a baby laughing, all troubles just seem to melt away.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

The first time my children uttered the word "momma" was so special...now it's not as cute when I hear it a thousand times a day

I have a bit of a while to go before I hear my little princess say mommy or daddy. It will be another special moment. I can imagine how it can get hearing it a thousand times a day.

    A joyful milestone!

Suburbqueen, here's my story about "momma."

Our first child has been firm-minded from day one. Once, while she was still at the wrapped-up-like-a-package stage, she was in her seat on the kitchen table.

She was saying, in a demanding tone, "Mum! Mum! Mum! ...."

I came over, picked her up, said something, at which the corners of her mouth went down, and she stepped the volume up: "MUM!!" Just one, in the tone which people sometimes use when saying things like, "no, your other left!"

"Mum" came shortly thereafter, to our daughter's relief, and mine.
