Topics: business blogging employment layed off bail out
Recently I found myself unemployed... Things seemed to be going alright and the future didn't look so dark. A couple of years ago I received a promotion from the employer I was working for. Well.... The American nature kicked in. I bought a new truck, was paying all my bills, and saving some money for the first time in my life. Then the unthinkable happened. I was laid off. Sure I did what everyone does, "unemployment insurance". What I didn't know was that my former employer appealed the Decision to grant me a 200.00 dollar check per week. That was 6 month ago.... Since then I've had to move, lost my truck, and the phone wont stop ringing. Now I cant find work that pays enough to get out of this whole. So.... I've (at 49) started a degree program in IT/Networking because I cant find work, so I suppose that the doors will once again open, but my question is; when a person has worked hard all their life, building, tearing down, learning, and finally it seemed like success... Only to find that wasn't the case. If want took many years to build and is in Jeopardy of failing, could it not be compared to what the Big 3 was going through?
