What reasons to make beautiful girl photo as blog avatar even the blog owner is male?
I see many blogs that use women as avatars, whether they can bring in traffic?

Most of the time, with the exception of the real female bloggers here who do modeling (and we have a couple), those too-beautiful female avatars are for make money schemes or blogging tips.
To me, they don't offer a lot of credibility to the blogger.
But then I guess I'm not their target audience either.
I'd like to think most guys are intelligent enough not to fall for that, though.-
Yes, probably is a good tip but I think there are a few of lies.

I have the opposite problem, people think that my avatars are fake, they'll even shout box me over it and so at times I will lose out on traffic. Such a jaded audience

I think that may be used, because such a keyword may be large enough rangking in searh engine-

why they mention their sex as male ? If they continue with female many will get fooled.

there are few people who used female Avatar but i dont think so with female avatar they get more traffic bcz readers are not stupid.-
Reader is not stupid but sometimes stuck with the artist's or women avatar ,average age of their profile in less than 22 years and make a reader want to visit their blog.

I actually considered using a photo of my wife as my avatar.
For the reasons you mentionned.

A month or two back, I changed my Twitter avatar from the one I use here to a 20+ year old picture of myself. I made the change because someone made a disturbing comment about my daughter and I wanted to quickly switch out the picture with her in it. I intended to change it to a more recent picture of me without my daughter later, but a funny thing happened...within hours, I had several new young male followers.-
Well, and probably a few old ones also...
