"Behind the cut" for Blogger posts?

I have a rather long post that I would like to put some of behind a "cut" aka "read more" function, similar to the LJ Cut function..

Can anyone help?

When you don't want to use the 'read more' bit you must delete this from the edit html every time you don't want this feature.

It is a pain in the arse, but best that blogger has at the moment. Well that I am aware of.

Well to tell you the truth, once you mess with the html code, it's not much of a hassle to do.

  Yeah I have had it on mine for a few years now, it is not that much of hassle, but would be cool if it was an actual feature instead of a hack.

  It's too involved for me.. I'll wait until someone bothers to make it a feature because I'm lazy and my HTML editing skills suck.

I tried it once and it was a big mess. I guess there is something wrong on my code. I'll check it again.
